Whitaker Leonhardt is a Real Estate Analyst in the Orlando office of HFF with more than five years of experience in commercial real estate analysis with a primary focus in retail. He works with both the investment sales and debt teams in Florida and is primarily responsible for performing financial and market analysis, preparing offering documents and coordinating the due diligence process.
Mr. Leonhardt joined the firm in October 2012. Prior to joining HFF, he was the Director of Investment Sales and Leasing at Crossman & Company where he focused on property dispositions and project leasing. Mr. Leonhardt completed 75 lease and sale transactions totaling over $30M in value, including large scale anchor leases with Publix Super Markets, Inc., the National Entrepreneur Center, and Planet Fitness Health Club. He was the leasing agent for prominent central Florida properties including Orlando Fashion Square Mall (1.1M SF regional mall), Water Tower Shoppes (Publix-anchored redevelopment in Disney’s Celebration, FL), and Lake Nona Plaza (ground-up Publix-anchored development in Orlando, FL).
Mr. Leonhardt has twice been recognized as a CoStar Power Broker of the Year in 2010 and 2011 and was also named Rookie of the Year in 2010 by both NAIOP and the Central Florida Commercial Association of Realtors.
